Seniors' Living is envisioned as a future phase of Dorot Village. We are beginning with a feasibility study to determine the scope, timing, and capital requirements needed to bring this vision to life.
Phase 3 is the crown of Dorot Village: a warm, purpose-built Jewish seniors' residence right beside the school and Chabad Centre. For the first time, Vancouver Island's Jewish seniors will be able to age in place, surrounded by community, culture, and the joy of daily interaction with children and families.
The Adventure Park also opens in this phase: a beloved outdoor space connecting seniors and children in the heart of the village grounds.
Everything that makes Dorot Village not just a school: but a true village for all ages.
A purpose-built Jewish seniors' residence allowing elders to age in place on Vancouver Island: with community, culture, and meaning right outside their door.
A beloved outdoor adventure space where children and seniors interact naturally every day: the physical heart of the multigenerational village experience.
The shared corridor connecting the school, Chabad Centre, and Seniors' Living: a daily meeting place for all generations of the village community.
A rooftop greenhouse where seniors and children grow together: literally: sharing the joy of nurturing life across generations.
A kosher dining facility serving residents and the community: filling a critical gap for Jewish life on an island far from kosher provisions.
With Phase 3 complete, Dorot Village becomes a fully realized multigenerational Jewish community: a model for communities around the world.
"We will tell the next generation… so that the next generation might know… and in turn they will tell their children."Psalms 78:4–6
Phase 3 will bring Seniors' Living and the Adventure Park to life as part of Dorot Village's long-term vision. Before construction begins, we are conducting a feasibility study to determine the scope, timing, and capital requirements for this phase.
